Our Ongoing Project on Gratitude and Depression:

Gratitude and Depression on Turkish Population who Lives on Europe

It is clear that modern sciences and spiritual sciences are essential in a lot of people’s lives. For some, they are separated, but they are the two pieces of the whole framework for some people. We have investigated the role of gratitude on depression level while consideringthem both. We looked at what sort of changes gratitude could provide in personal, social, and daily life. We measured them using by ‘Appreciation Scale’ (APP-57) and ‘Depression Scale’ (Beck Depression Inventory) on 418 participants from Turkey but live in different parts of Europe. The study supports that gratitude has a positive impact on daily life and the satisfaction we receive from life, family, and people around us. We also discussed the implications of these findings in different spiritual experiences and resources.
